It’s been a busy time here at Pinks Vintage Ice Cream Vans and Tricycles! Not only have we launched our pop-up Pinks on The Prom, but we’ve also welcomed six new members to the team!
It’s high time we introduced you to them, don’t you think?
Top tip: she pushes it down into the cone so by the time she gets to it, the chocolate has frozen!
Cassy’s ice cream serving career runs in the family. When we asked her who would she choose, dead or alive, to serve ice cream to, she told us it would be her Nanna and Grandad…
“My dad told me that my Nanna worked at Rossi’s Ice Cream Parlour in Southend in the 1940’s and that’s where she met my Grandad. How cool is that!” Very cool indeed!
Whilst she’s absolutely excited to meet new people in her role here at Pinks, if she could serve anyone ice cream, she’d have to go for the King of Rock n Roll, Elvis! And what ice cream would she pick?
A 99 Whippy with lashings of salted caramel sauce of course!
If Emma could serve anyone an ice cream it would be a Bubbalicious sundae to Elvis. Or failing that, she’d surprise the children in her class with a visit from the Pinks Ice Cream Van).
Emma has confessed that her favourite ice cream to eat is salted caramel. However, her favourite to make has got to be the Unicorn Sundae – “it’s just a little bit of magic in a Pinks pot!”
Phil has joined us because (in his own words) “It’s important to work for a company that really cares and behaves responsibly. To have a job that doesn’t feel like work and to keep my depression at bay.”
We couldn’t agree more Phil.
When pushed Phil will admit that he loves Frosty, a supermarket own-brand of choc ices. And if he could serve ice cream to any famous person (dead or alive) he’d swap his famous person for his Nan. “She’d probably have my Grandad with her as well. To see them both together, healthy and wholly there would be amazing. I’d work the ice creams off – I think I owe them a few!”
Already Michelle has fallen in love with how different every day is, and you, our wonderful customers who really love our ice creams!
Michelle isn’t picky about which ice cream she’d eat… she’ll take any delicious iced treat. But when it comes to the person she wishes she could serve to? She’s quick to let you know it would have to be the late-great Freddie Mercury!
Mrs Whippy and Little Miss Whippy have known her for years and Natasha wanted to be a part of the fun and positive team here at Pinks, so it was the perfect choice for us.
She’s most excited about all the different clients she’ll meet in her job and the ice cream, naturally. Natasha is partial to salted caramel ice cream (who isn’t?!) and would love nothing more than to serve it to Jason Statham!
And if you want to find out about the founding members of our ice cream business, you can read all about Mrs Whippy, Little Miss Whippy and how a dodgy Christmas present started it all, right here.
